Advocacy Board Approves Two Brevard Members

Merritt Island – Florida Partners in Crisis has appointed Alan Diamond, a partner with the law firm of Funk, Szachacz and Diamond in Melbourne, Genna Marx Brisson, Director of Operations with GEO Care of Boca Raton and Palm Bay Police Captain Tim Zander to the organization’s Board of Directors.  Diamond practices criminal defense law and is a former Assistant State Attorney for the 18th Judicial Circuit. Marx Brisson oversees six mental health treatment facilities for GEO Care.  Zander is an Army veteran who began his law enforcement career with Palm Bay in 2000.  He currently heads up the Uniform Services Division at the agency.

Florida Partners in Crisis, a statewide advocacy and education organization, promotes collaboration across the criminal justice and behavioral health care systems to help reduce the number of individuals with mental illnesses or addiction who are involved in, or at risk of becoming involved in the criminal justice system.  For more information, www.flpic.org
